
WEDS Organization operates in six districts in Karnataka i.e Koppal, Gadag, Vijayanagar Kolar , Chitradurga and Chikkaballapura covering approximately 300 villages. Its initiatives primarily focus on rural women’s empowerment through engagement with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Joint Liability Groups (JLGs). Additionally, the organization promotes climate resilience and sustainable development via its Watershed Development Program, spanning 20000 hectares. This program includes soil and water conservation, horticulture, and forestry plantation, benefiting small and marginal farmers and landless laborers. Furthermore, WEDS Organization actively mentors 10 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to improve farmers’ price realization.

Empowering women in environmental conservation is vital. Women play crucial roles as stewards, innovators, and advocates for sustainable practices, ensuring a greener and more equitable future for our planet.

In various environmental sectors, women are leading the charge, making notable contributions in conservation, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture.

Women are emerging as influential leaders, driving green initiatives worldwide, from renewable energy startups to eco-conscious policymaking, fostering a sustainable future.
WEDS, a comprehensive initiative, empowers rural communities through income diversification, skill development, women’s empowerment, and financial inclusion.



We Implemented PMKSY 2.0 Watershed activities in Yadagiri and Shahapur taluks. Each watershed we covering 9 villages. In all the villages we conduct the gramsabhas, jathas, street play and PRA exercises in all project villages.
We selected as a emponelement NGO in Koppal district 4 taluks namely Kushtagi, Ganagavathi, Karatagi and Kanakagiri. In this project we conducting gramsabhas on sustainable agriculture development, livelihood activities, cultural programs and skill development programs.
We entered CSR project supported to Reliance Foundation Mumbai. In this project mainly climate resilience activities, RNGs, Safe drinking water and value chain activities and DRIWE activities in 3 taluks of 93 villages.
This programme implemting 2 districts. Namely Ballari district covering Harapanahalli black and Chikkaballapur district covering Shidlagatta black.
In this programme we arranged DEA (Depositor, Education and awareness) programs in Koppal district covering 10 villages participated 640 womens. Mainly focus on banking system, opening SB and RD accounts, fixed deposit and benefits of senior citizens schemes.

Our goal is to strengthen and support rural communities by equipping them with the tools and expertise needed to develop resilience and self-sufficiency. By implementing sustainable initiatives and targeted interventions, we strive to promote thriving local economies, improving the lives and livelihoods of individuals and families in these areas. Our mission is to facilitate long-term positive transformation, promoting sustainability and prosperity in rural regions.
